I believe that swatting flies and mosquitoes is OK, even if they’ve never hurt me and never will. I believe that it was wrong to go to war in Iraq on the grounds that though they hadn’t hurt “us” they were gonna’. How do I reconcile these beliefs? I really don’t want to have to stop swatting flies and mosquitoes.
